June 2010
Two of our films at the Human Rights Watch Film Festival
We are very proud to announce that two films from our saga of linked feature documentaries Twelve Stories: How Democracy Works Now have been selected for screening in this year's Human Rights International Film Festival.
Please do join us if you can - these are the only New York screenings of these films this year. (We'll be back completing the series after this!)
The details:
Both screenings at The Film Society of Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater.
On Saturday June 19th at 3:30 A rollicking, sobering political lesson, and the friendship between Senator Kennedy Senator Robert Byrd in Story Two: Mountains and Clouds, followed by a reception at 5:30
On Wednesday June 23rd at 6:30 the epic's concluding chapter, Story Twelve: Last Best Chance
June 2010
Screening at Paley Center For Media
On June 17th (Thursday) at 6:30 Philanthropy New York is sponsoring a free screening (and reception) of our new film The Senate Speaks - it's the prequel to Last Best Chance/The Senators' Bargain.
At the Paley Center for Media, 25 West 52nd Street.
It's the New York premiere of the series' most controversial episode. The film is the story of 2006, the year of huge public demonstrations, and the year when Ted Kennedy fought the Democratic Party establishment and triumphed. It is vividly also about the US Senate today.
